At Dog Training by PJ we offer weekday-daytime classes, evening classes, and weekend classes. Our schedules are designed to accommodate your training needs. Our certified trainers/instructors are also available for private training, behavior modification, or consultations at your home. We can help take your pup to advanced dog, earn their CGC, compete in Rally O, Obedience, Barn-hunt, and Agility and much more. Simply want a well-behaved dog? We are here to help meet your goals. Dog Training by PJ's training philosophy is do no harm, nor inflict fear, or intimate you or your dog. Our training methods employ operant and classical conditioning. Training should be comfortable and have some fun for all involved.

Most of our training classes are held in our indoor training center located at: 395 Freeport Blvd., Suite 1, Sparks, NV 89431. Our training center is climate-controlled with a sanitized concrete floor for your puppy's safety. Local veterinarians highly recommend Dog Training by PJ for young puppies, even if the puppy hasn't completed their vaccination series, because of our sanitization protocols. We know socialization and good, positive exposure to all things help develop a well-rounded dog.

To provide optimal training experiences our classes are limited in size. We don't use a mega phone or other microphone devise - you'll easily hear and see everything. Additionally, we provide electronic materials recapping your weekly sessions. We also provide additional materials to help you raise a well-balanced puppy or to increase reliability for adolescents and adult dogs.

Each scheduled class runs on the same day and time until class is complete. Please see our class schedule to review the dates available. Most six-week class fees are $165-220; The class description will give you the pre-requisites and requirements for your selected class. Although each session should be attended, missing one class will not harm your dog's education. Please also be aware of our Cancellation/No-Show Policy.

A well balanced dog is often your goal. To further your dog's experience or training needs we offer regular one-hour workshops on many typical behaviors: loose leash walking, come, stays, and heel and much more. What to try Agility or Trieball? Try a workshop. More great one-hour workshops include: scent work, paws of art, treibball, treadmill, tricks, and tunnels & ladders, and many more. We offer guided, group hikes (weather permitting). Please like and follow us on Facebook for the most up to date schedule as "events." Fees for workshops is only $30.

Brave Puppy and Brave Dog are the newest one-hour workshops to enhance your pup's experience. These two workshops focus on many things in a comfortable, safe and sanitized environment to increase confidence for puppies and adult dogs; the workshops change frequently to give each pup opportunities to overcome fears from various surfaces, things that move or go bump and various sounds.

You'll receive an e-mail confirmation for your class selection, information for what you'll need for your class. Please download and complete the Dog History Form required to attend classes.
