·        Each specialty class may REQUIRE the 2nd level (Brilliant Buddy) as a pre-requisite to participate (please review your class choice for additional details.)

·        Families, including children* are encouraged to attend.  (*children should be able to remain calm and follow directions from Instructor during the hour class, can assist with training with parental supervision and assistance.)

·        Training, learning and practice occur in each session.

·        There is no fluff in our classes, no tour, you don’t attend without your dog, and the final day of class includes lessons and handout materials. Of course, there are certificates given at the last day.

·         Our class size is limited to provide you and your dog with the best training experience.  Yes, we will know your names, your goals and your aspirations for your dog. You’ll receive personal attention in class and if you need additional help, we are available weekly at no additional fee. (http://dogtrainingbypj.com/come_talk.htm)

FUN WITH TRICKS CLASS

Want to simply have some fun? Seriously, training whether it is tricks, obedience, dance or massage, you are really helping your dog become better trained. Often, we think that this fun stuff just isn’t worth the time, money or effort ~ but there is a better way to consider fun classes…through tricks, dance or other stimulating classes your dog learns dog-to-dog social skills and is mentally and physically stimulated and challenged.  It can be a great training tool when your dog “shuts down on the obedience course” or gives you the “paw” when you want him to focus.  It builds a wonderful relationship between you and your dog and encourages you both to find the “inner child/pup” and laugh together.  Simply said, this is a wonderful class to train, focus, develop skills and not bore your dog!

·        All age dogs that have attended a group training class, including puppy kindergarten, toy dog class, adolescent class or a basic skills class from another trainer.

·        It is not necessary to have completed 2nd level Brilliant Buddy class to attend.

·        Fun with Tricks class is six, one hour sessions; however expect to train your dog about 50 minutes (they fatigue from so much fun!)

·         Some tricks include, playing the piano, weave, sneaky dog, finding the lost item, saying prayers, turns, jumps, soccer, wipe your feet, dead dog, roll over, cop-cop, bubble blowing, and so much more.

·        Our class size is limited to provide you and your dog with the best training experience.  Yes, we will know your names, your goals and your aspirations for your dog. You’ll receive personal attention in class and if you need additional help we are here to assist you, http://dogtrainingbypj.com/come_talk.htm

·        Proof of current vaccinations is required as follows:

o   We require the dog be current on vaccinations or have received a proven titer test from your veterinarian that your dog has received the immunity levels required for safety of all animals and people.

o   Most puppies are not vaccinated for Rabies until they have received some of the series vaccinations, however, puppies must be current in the vaccination series.

o   Rabies vaccination is required for adult dogs.

o   We encourage Bordetella but it is not required since we do not board dogs or puppies (We do encourage you to refer to your Veterinarian’s recommendation for Bordetella.)

o    At Dog Training by PJ we follow the American Veterinarian Medical Association (AVMA) Council on Biologic and Therapeutic Agents' Report on Cat and Dog Vaccines recommendations.  (http://www.avma.org/avmacollections/rabies/javma_221_10_1401.PDF)  For puppies the core vaccines include distemper, canine adenovirus-2 (hepatitis and respiratory disease), canine parvovirus-2, and rabies

o   These vaccinations are also called “five in one” or DHLP-P vaccinations because they are a combination vaccine that will immunize against five very common but potentially deadly diseases.
