SPECIALTY CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

REAL WORLD - New for 2008!

New For 2008!
Dogs must be at least 6 months of age.
Class size is limited to 6 dogs and must have graduated a LEVEL II dog.
6 class sessions, each session is 1 hour in length.
Dogs practice and proof every session in the "real world" at various locations (TBA at first class)
Class takes the walking on leash, heel, proof stays, come, focus and more into real life situations.
Dogs are exposed to increasingly difficult situations while teaching reliability and focus.
Class is a must for all dogs continuing on with their education.
Real World class fees are $130 per dog. (Discounts available for multi-dog households attending the same class.

Real World class pre-requisites: Proof of current vaccinations series. Dogs and puppies must be in good health. Dogs must be 2nd level dogs; NO dog-dog or dog-human aggressive dogs. Should your dog be aggressive and you wish to help him with this behavior problem, please call us at 775-828-0748. We can schedule a private session to perfect your recall.

Class requirements:

Several kinds of special soft treats in “fanny pack” or treat bag	Flat Collar or Harness; head halters are encouraged
Toy for play and reinforcements (please no balls, they roll away from dog.)	4’ or 6’ Leash - DTBPJ recommends “Rogz for Dogz – Multi Purpose Lead” or “Halti Training Lead” (two snaps or clips on both ends of leash)
15 to 30 foot long line	Flat comfortable shoes for owners
No retractable leashes, chain collars or chain leashes - please	MUST BRING "POOH" BAG & WATER FOR BOTH HUMAN & DOG

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE - New for 2008!

Class takes the walking on leash, heel, proof stays, come, focus and more into trails, lakes, parks, and other outdoor situations.
Dogs are exposed to increasingly difficult situations while teaching reliability and focus.
Class is a must for all dogs continuing on with their education.
Outdoor Adventure class fees are $130 per dog. (Discounts available for multi-dog households attending the same class.

PERFECT RECALL (“COME!”) - New for 2008!

Dogs must be at least 6 months of age.
Class size is limited to 6 dogs.
4 class sessions, each session is 45 minutes in length.
Dogs learn and practice every session.
Class takes the recall taught in Level I class to the next level
Dogs are exposed to increasingly difficult situations while teaching reliability and focus
Class is a must for all dogs continuing on with their education.
Does your dog come “only when he wants to?” Then this is your class!
Perfect Recall class fees are $90.00 per dog. (Discounts available for multi-dog households attending the same class.)

Perfect Recall class pre-requisites: Proof of current vaccinations series. Dogs and puppies must be in good health. NO dog-dog or dog-human aggressive dogs. Hear Me Roar (Growl) Class

Class was developed for dogs or puppies that consistently over-reacts to the presence of other dogs with loud barking, lunging, and disruptive behavior.
This is a problem solving class. Dogs do not come to first class; humans only.
Class size is limited to 8 dogs.
6 class sessions, each session is 1 hour in length.
Dogs learn lessons while developing and practicing every session.
Class was designed for the dog that simply can't relax in the presence of other dogs while expressing itself in a confident, “aggressive,” reactive manner.
Designed and developed to empower the handler to teach the "rowdy rover" to successfully walk through a room with other people and dogs present while paying attention to the handler.
This class is held indoors and is taught by a Certified Pet Dog Trainer.

Growl Dog - Hear Me Roar class pre-requisites: Proof of current vaccinations series. Dogs are approved and accepted by the Certified Pet Dog Trainer leading the class. Dogs and puppies must be in good health.

Class requirements:

2-3 Various special treats & treat pouch	6’ Leash DTBPJ recommends and encourages owners to have “Rogz for Dogz – Multi Purpose Lead” or “Halti Training Lead” (two snaps or clips on both ends of leash) No retractable leashes allowed
*Head halters (Gentle Leader* or Halti) Flat collar or harness**	Owner must wear flat comfortable shoes for “traction.”
“Soft comfort” muzzle able to “feed through”	Mat or towel for dog to rest on
Water for dog (if necessary)
