Frank Jones, ABCDT, born and raised in the Reno area, discovered his dream of training animals after obtaining his first dog in 2009, an English Bulldog puppy, named Bowser. Wanting to give Bowser the most fulfilling life possible, Frank and his wife, Jessie, decided to enroll him in class. Dog Training by PJ came highly recommended, and they promptly started training. Bowser, the spunky bulldog with endless energy, picked out a Boxer companion from a local rescue in the spring of 2010. Bowser, new sister Zelda, and their mommy and daddy enjoyed training with PJ so much, that, in the fall of 2010, Frank enrolled in the Animal Behavior College. The sudden passing of baby Bowser in February of 2011 intensified Frank’s passion to help animals; after all, it was because of his love for Bowser that Frank decided to volunteer as a foster parent for the Northern Nevada Bulldog Rescue in 2009. Frank is also a volunteer with Washoe County Regional Animal Services, Nevada Humane Society, volunteers and fosters for Chihuahua Rescue Truckee Meadows Chihuahua Rescue and is working towards his next certificate (CPDT-KA) Certified Professional Dog Trainer-Knowledge Assessed. |
