LEVEL III CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

Designed for beginning dogs that have already had some training classes, but are not consistent.

Dogs should be able to respond to "sit," "down," "stay" and "come."

Dogs must be at least 6 months of age.

Designed to increase the focus of your dog while developing a level of consistency of each behavior in presence of various distractions.

RALLY "O" STYLE OBEDIENCE (first level)

Great class for focus!

Dogs must be at least 6 months of age.
Class size is limited to 8 dogs.
6 class sessions, each session is 1 hour in length.
Dogs learn lessons while developing and practicing every session.
Class developed to use a course where dog and handler use directional signs to run through the numbered course.
Rally O goes beyond obedience by utilizing over forty obedience movements with sits, turns, downs and heeling.
Class develops dogs and handlers to work at a brisk pace, using a positive attitude with a happy demeanor.
Class concept is to create an obedience program that emphasizes fun and excitement and allows for a more natural performance.
Class will greatly add to your ability to maintain your dog's attention and attitude at a higher level.
Rally "O" Style Obedience class fees are $145.00 per dog. (Discounts available for multi-dog households attending the same class.)
Classes are taught at two locations, DTBPJ training center and Orvis Store in the Summit Shopping Center.

Rally "O" Style Obedience class pre-requisites: Proof of current vaccinations series. Dogs should have some basic obedience skills to attend this class. Dogs must be in good health.

Class Requirements:
2-3 Various special treats & treat pouch	Flat Collar or Harness
*Head halters (Gentle Leader* or Halti) or "no pull harness" (Sensations Gentle Harness) may be recommended if dog still pulls on leash.**	4’ or 6’ Leash - DTBPJ recommends "Rogz for Dogz – Multi Purpose Lead" or "Halti Training Lead" (two snaps or clips on both ends of leash)
No retractable leashes, chain collars or chain leashes – please.

PERFECT RECALL ("COME!")

New For 2008!
Dogs must be at least 6 months of age.
Class size is limited to 6 dogs.
4 class sessions, each session is 45 minutes in length.
Dogs learn and practice every session.
Class takes the recall taught in Level I class to the next level
Dogs are exposed to increasingly difficult situations while teaching reliability and focus.
Owners receive a workbook for training a 90 reliable recall.
Class is a must for all dogs continuing on with their education.
Does your dog come "only when he wants to?" Then this is your class!
Perfect Recall class fees are $90.00 per dog. (Discounts available for multi-dog households attending the same class.)

Perfect Recall class pre-requisites: Proof of current vaccinations series. Dogs and puppies must be in good health. NO dog-dog or dog-human aggressive dogs. Should your dog be aggressive and you wish to help him with this behavior problem, please call us at 775-828-0748. We can schedule a private session to perfect your recall.

Class Requirements:
Several kinds of special soft treats in "fanny pack" or treat bag	Flat Collar or Harness
Toy for play and reinforcements (please no balls, they roll away from dog.)	4’ or 6’ Leash - DTBPJ recommends "Rogz for Dogz – Multi Purpose Lead" or "Halti Training Lead" (two snaps or clips on both ends of leash)
15 to 30 foot long line	Flat comfortable shoes for owners
No retractable leashes, chain collars or chain leashes – please.	MUST BRING YOUR WORKBOOK WEEKLY AND PEN FOR NOTE TAKING OF ASSIGNMENTS (workbook provided first class)

Class was developed to gain great focus from our dogs while learning movement and dancing with dogs to music.
Danc’n with Dogs is a fun sport for the owners and dogs.
Class builds a stronger bond with your dog while adding other dimensions to your training "tool kit" including music, timing, routine development and showmanship.
Class is great for seniors, kids, people with older less active dogs and fun way to keep active with our dogs.
Terrific class for dogs performing sports, such as Agility, Fly-Ball or Dock Dogs which continues to develop great listening skills and responses from the dog.
Fun class for those therapy dogs too.
