
CLASS DESCRIPTIONS AND FEES
LEVEL III CLASSES
All Level III Classes Are Designed as Follows:
·
All
age dogs that have attended a group training class, including puppy
kindergarten, toy dog class, adolescent class or a basic skills class from
another trainer.
·
Dogs
must have attended level II class (Brilliant Buddy)
·
Dogs
should be able to respond to sit, down, stay and come.
·
Families, including children* are encouraged to
attend. (*children
should be able to remain calm and follow directions from Instructor during the
hour class, can assist with training with parental supervision and assistance.)
·
Training, learning and practice occur in each
session.
·
Designed to increase the focus of your dog
while developing a level of consistency of each behavior in the presence of
various distractions.
· There is no fluff in our classes, no tour, you don’t attend without your dog, and the final day of class includes lessons and handout materials.
·
Our class size is limited to provide you and
your dog with the best training
experience. Yes, we will know your
names, your goals and your aspirations for your dog. You’ll receive personal
attention in class and if you need additional help, we are available weekly at

ULTI-MUTT CONSISTENCY

Dogs must have attended

a higher level while you continue to proof your dog's behaviors

RALLY OBEDIENCE “RALLY O” CLASS

All
age dogs that have attended a group training class, including puppy
kindergarten, toy dog class, adolescent class or a basic skills class from
another trainer.

Dogs
must have attended a 2nd level class (Brilliant Buddy) to
participate in this Rally O class.
·
Rally
O class is six, one hour sessions.
·
Class
developed to use a course where dog and handler use directional signs to run
through the numbered course.
·
Rally
O goes beyond obedience by utilizing over forty obedience movements with sits,
turns, downs and heeling.
·
Rally
O develops dogs and handlers to work at a brisk pace, using a positive attitude
with a happy demeanor.
·
Rally
O concept is to create an obedience program that emphasizes fun and excitement
and allows for a more natural performance.
· Rally O will greatly add to your ability to maintain your dog's attention and attitude at a higher level.
·

Proof
of current vaccinations is required as follows:
o
We require the dog be current on vaccinations or have received a
proven titer test from your veterinarian that your dog has received the
immunity levels required for safety of all animals and people.
o
Most puppies are not vaccinated for Rabies until they have
received some of the series vaccinations, however, puppies must be current in
the vaccination series.
o
Rabies vaccination is required for adult dogs.
o
We encourage Bordetella but
it is not required since we do not board dogs or puppies (We do encourage you to refer to your Veterinarian’s recommendation for
Bordetella.)
o
At Dog Training by PJ we follow the American Veterinarian Medical Association
(AVMA) Council on Biologic and Therapeutic Agents' Report on Cat and Dog
Vaccines recommendations. (http://www.avma.org/avmacollections/rabies/javma_221_10_1401.PDF) For
puppies the core vaccines include distemper, canine
adenovirus-2 (hepatitis and respiratory disease), canine
parvovirus-2, and rabies.
o
These vaccinations are also called “five in one” or DHLP-P
vaccinations because they are a combination vaccine that will immunize against
five very common but potentially deadly diseases.

“Stuffed”
KONGâ for distraction, or bully sticks, flossies,
chewies is strongly encouraged.

Treat

and showmanship.

who compete, are generally good, well-adjusted and manner companions and of
course those dogs/owners desiring to give
back to the community with pet dog therapy visits.
